We work with a handful of small, mixed family farms across Yorkshire. Many of our farmers have spent their whole lives in the industry; some are turning towards nature-friendly farming for the very first time. All of them are doing work the country quietly depends on.
Here's the hard truth: good, nature-friendly farming is a public good, and it's badly underfunded. The benefits (clean water, living soil, returning wildlife) flow to all of us, but the costs land squarely on the farmer. Without a fair price, the sums simply don't add up.
That's the gap we exist to close. By giving these farms a direct route to your kitchen, we generate a genuine premium for the people doing the right thing, so that farming well by nature becomes a living, not a luxury.
“Farming well by nature should be a living, not a luxury.”
