Terms and conditions

Butcher Ben is a meat-box service trading from Telfit Farm, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Butcher Ben. “You” means you, the customer.

When you place an order you are making us an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email.

Prices on the site are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged separately and shown clearly at checkout.

We do our best to keep prices accurate, but if we spot a clear pricing error we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.

We take payment when we dispatch your order, unless you have a regular order, in which case we take payment shortly before the next box is packed.

If a payment fails we will email you and try again. If it still fails we will pause your account until you update your details.

You can pause, change or cancel your regular order at any time from your account, up to 48 hours before the next dispatch. After that the next box will already be on its way.

There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

Because we are selling perishable food, the standard 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply once an order has been dispatched.

If something is wrong with your order — short, damaged, or not up to scratch — tell us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo and we will refund or replace it. No quibble.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

For everything else, our total liability for any single order is capped at the value of that order.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do. The version that applies to your order is the one in force on the day you place it.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
